I’ve lived an active lifestyle for as long as I can remember from playing baseball, to training in Muay Thai and Jui-Jitsu, physical training in a military prep academy, and even bodybuilding workouts at your traditional gym.
Through my years of experiencing different ways to train my body I finally came across CrossFit in 2015, and I’ve never been more in love with showing up to the gym every day. Constantly Varied Functional Movements performed at a High-Intensity simply works. And when you do it in a class setting not only does it push you in a competitive setting, but more importantly it motivates you to push forward with the person working out alongside you. I think the community we have here at CrossFit OwnIt is really one of a kind and it’s something you sense the moment you walk through the door.
Taking and passing the course for my Level 1 Certification and giving back to the community is a very rewarding feeling when my day is done at the box and it’s a decision I’m very grateful to have made. It’s a beautiful thing to see our members make progress in their fitness and in their daily lives. Whether it’s making great strides in their squat from Day 1 to Day 30, losing weight and building towards a healthier lifestyle, or overcoming obstacles outside of the gym because the obstacles we face in the gym translate to our everyday lives. I truly believe we have a beautiful community at OwnIt and I’m forever grateful to be a part of it.
